Ningbo service disruption

Firstly, Happy New Year from all of us at IFE! We hope you are keeping well and enjoyed your break.

We wanted to inform you of the information received from our Chinese partners over the last couple of days regarding Ningbo Covid-19 cases which is causing some delays in the lead up to Chinese New Year:

  • We have been informed that many drivers in Zhejiang province are currently in quarantine and others are at risk of being turned away, causing a major driver availability shortage.
  • We have also been informed that some access roads to the terminals at Ningbo Port have been shut which we anticipate will cause some delays.
  • Empty container collection has been affected as return depots in Beilun areas are either closed or are facing operational strain.
  • We are also being made aware over the last couple of days that many factories in Ningbo are currently closed due to workers needing to quarantine.

If your shipments with us from this area in China are affected in any way by the above, we will of course inform you as soon as we are made aware.
