FELIXSTOWE PORT UPDATE – Expected High Winds

We are writing to advise you of the weather warnings as received today by Felixstowe Port. Please see below the latest update for your information:

*WEATHER WARNING – Thursday 31st March from 10:00 until 18:59 Hrs.*
*UPDATED 07:30 HRS, 31/03/2022.*

Dear haulage partners,

Please be advised that the latest weather warning indicates that wind speeds are likely to exceed our safe working limits from 10:00am until 18:59 Hrs today.

In anticipation of some disruption to our yard operation VBS booking availability has been removed throughout this time period. As the forecast has deteriorated further pre allocated bookings without containers attached have now also been removed and we would advise against travelling to the Port during this time.

Additional bookings may be made available throughout Thursday evening and Friday depending on updated forecasts.

Your patience and understanding is appreciated.

Regards,

VBS Administration

Of course, we will update you with further news once we are made aware, however, please kindly note that the above may cause delays to collections, deliveries and container restitution.
If any of your shipments are affected, we will of course advise you at the soonest possible opportunity. If you do have any queries in the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact one of our team.
Thank you for your understanding as always.
