As per our previous notices over the last few months regarding Port delays, we wanted to bring to your further attention the latest issues that hauliers are facing in terms of limited VBS slots.

As you are likely aware, there are restrictions in place currently due to the sanitisation of equipment since Covid-19, resulting in quay shut-downs for up to 4 hours a day. Combined with this, there is the issue of a reduced and consequently strained work force at the Ports. All of these factors have resulted in fewer availability of VBS slots for the hauliers, therefore delivery delays are all the more common, as we have been made aware our side of some drivers waiting up to 6 hours at Port to collect and load.

At IFE, we ensure we are doing everything that we can our side to keep you fully updated with deliveries, as well as this we are constantly pushing behind the scenes for the fastest delivery slots to meet any requirements and deadlines and sourcing alternative solutions when required.
