POWER OUTAGES HIT CHINA
We have been recently informed that “at least ten Chinese provinces have either cut output or closed temporarily this month, after Government-imposed power cuts to curb carbon emissions”.
The rules follow China’s economic planning agency, released their “dual-control” scheme to help cut down on energy-intensive activities / consumption. Provinces of Jiangsu, Guangdong and Zhejiang (some of the most industrialised areas in China), had received ‘red ratings’ for missing energy consumption targets.
We expect that this will heighten delays yet again!
