Due to the current and ever changing situation in Ukraine, many providers have suspended services to Ukraine, Belarus and Russia. We are told that shipments on hand will remain in CFS’ until further notice.
The safety and wellbeing of citizens in these areas is of paramount importance and priority at this time, and our thoughts are with all those affected.
We wanted to pass on the latest information involving the shipping industry that we have received from some of the main shipping lines:
- The majority of lines have advised a temporary stoppage on all cargo bookings to/from Russia, covering all access areas including Baltics, Black Sea and Far East Russia, with immediate effect.
- Screening will take place for bookings of essential goods such as food and medical equipment.
- Sanctions and government advice will be closely followed and advised at the soonest instance.
If there are any updates or changes to any of your shipments with us due to these issues of conflict then you will of course be notified as soon as possible.
It goes without saying that the safety and wellbeing of citizens in these affected areas is of upmost importance and priority.
